Sabrang

Youth United with Ambition (YUWA) is a highly enthusiastic cultural club of Durgadevi Saraf Institute of Management Studies (DSIMS) and Durgadevi Saraf Global Business School (DSGS). YUWA is known to create its own benchmarks and break its own records by organizing entertaining events throughout the year. It organizes and manages each year ‘Sabrang’, the flagship cultural fest of DSIMS and DSGS. YUWA’s Sabrang is Theme based successful two-day event at the RSET Campus. The students of both programmes MMS and PGDM are represented by a mascot of any villain. And we all know superhero’s wouldn’t exist without supervillains.

There are esteemed sponsors for Sabrang year on year. Day one begins with the ‘Parade of villains’ wherein each class have their very own mascot leading their contingent. Next event is the ‘Court of villains’ which is a in-class court room debate session amongst the mascots representing the classes. Further, treasure hunt is held, a game without which every cultural fest is incomplete.

The second day of Sabrang consist of the talent hunt round for Mr. and Ms. Sabrang and performing arts which included dance and fashion show. The other events included games like tug of war, Hogathon, Twister, Marbles and spoon, Balance, Trio, Fun pong, Buzz wire, Water pong and Gem it up. Sabrang Fest ends with the announcement of winners and a disc jockey night for all students with amazing music and to celebrate the end of Sabrang festival.

 

The Objectives of Sabrang

  1. Organise event at an Institute level.
  2. Learn the spirit of sportsmanship and team-spirit.
  3. Learnt to work in diverse groups
  4. Take responsibility for sponsorship and finance
  5. Learnt Negotiation with vendors
  6. Learnt planning, control, organizing and coordinating of various management skills
