YUWA’S SABRANG 2019

Youth United with Ambition (YUWA) is a highly enthusiastic cultural club of Durgadevi Saraf Institute of Management Studies (DSIMS). YUWA is known to create its own benchmarks and break its own records by organizing entertaining events throughout the year. It organized and managed ‘Sabrang 2019’, the flagship cultural fest of DSIMS. YUWA’s Sabrang’19 with the theme of ‘villains’ was a successful two-day event at DSIMS, RSET Campus held on 24th and 25th of January’19. Each division of both programs MMS and PGDM were represented by a mascot of any villain. We all know superheroes theme is too mainstream, but what we do not know is that superheroes wouldn’t exist without supervillains.
The esteemed sponsors for Sabrang’19 were: title sponsor Raj Parekh productions, associate partner Stoups, and Twigs, co-powered by Nutra Basket, clothing partner Stop n Shop, trophies partner Water Financial Solutions, caf partner Sai Sarovar, infrastructure partner KD Constructions, auto ancillary partner Navratna auto parts, refreshment partner Jai Maharashtra Trupti Kendra, accessories partner Pin It Up and fast food partner Snackoos.
Day one began with the ‘Parade of villains’ wherein each class had their very own mascot leading their contingent. Next event was the ‘Court of villains’ which was an in-class courtroom debate session amongst the mascots representing the classes. YUWA then organized a workshop wherein all the students could interact with Ms. Maushmi Badra, a model as well as a celebrity designer. Next was treasure hunt, a game without which every cultural fest is incomplete.
The second day of Sabrang’19 consisted of the talent hunt round for Mr. and Ms. Sabrang and performing arts which included dance and fashion show. The other events included games like tug of war, Hogathon, Twister, Marbles and spoon, Balance, Trio, Fun pong, Buzz wire, Water pong and Gem it up. Sabrang’19 ended with the announcement of winners and a disc jockey night where all students grooved to amazing music and celebrated their hard work at the end of Sabrang’2019.
